Ensembly - an application for choirs and orchestras

Ensembly is a tool that makes it easier to manage musical ensembles with many members, such as choirs or orchestras. It improves communication between the leader/conductor/manager and the ensemble.

Application for conductors

Ensembly makes it easier to organize rehearsals and concerts by letting you quickly check how many musicians will be present and which instruments and voices the conductor will have available during the event. This helps plan repertoire faster, adjust arrangements and avoid surprises during the performance.

See how the application works in detail:

Managing songs and voices

The application lets you create song lists and assign voices or instruments to them, which are then assigned to specific ensemble members. This gives the conductor one place to see which voices are available and what repertoire can be performed on a given day.

Managing events

Ensembly makes it possible to create and describe events and assign songs to them. Ensemble members can declare their attendance at events, which can later be verified with an attendance list. This lets the conductor know who will take part in the event and which voices/instruments will be available.

Recurring events

To save time, you can create recurring events, such as rehearsals or a concert series.

Communication and announcements

The ability to publish announcements on the board and send messages to specific user groups significantly improves communication in the ensemble. There is also an automatic notification system that informs specific user groups about important changes made in the ensemble.

And much more...

Event calendar

All upcoming and past events are visible in the calendar on the site or, after enabling this option, in Google Calendar.

Several ensembles at the same time

The application makes it possible to manage several ensembles or be a member of several ensembles at the same time. The interface makes it easier to access information from several ensembles from one view and switch between ensembles.

Managing ensemble members

Every ensemble member has a role. If they leave the ensemble, however, you can easily deactivate them and, if necessary, remove their personal data from the system. Read more →

Statistics

Create advanced statistics about event attendance and keep scores for attendance and engagement.

A few words about the history

The application was created out of a passion for music and the need to improve the work of choral ensembles. The originator and author of the first version of the application is a long-time chorister of the Archcathedral Male Choir "Cantores Minores". After years full of musical experiences, the author took on the role of choir Secretary, which involved keeping statistics and helping organize and plan events.

Over time, seeing the need for greater efficiency in ensemble management, he decided to create a tool that would improve the work of both choir members and the conductor. This is how the idea was born for an application that makes it possible to plan events, track attendance and provide comprehensive information about choral activities.

The application quickly transformed the ensemble's work. Choristers gained easy access to information about upcoming events, and the conductor could monitor attendance and the availability of voices for specific songs on an ongoing basis. This made organizing rehearsals and concerts much simpler and more transparent.

Seeing the great benefits of using the application, the author decided to expand the project and asked fellow programmers for help. Together they created an application that enables many ensembles to work at the same time. Now people active in several choirs can have all the necessary information in one place, with the ability to switch freely between ensembles.

Our application not only supports everyday choral activity, but also integrates the musical community, helping its members better manage their time and resources. As a result, both amateur and professional ensembles can enjoy better organization and greater efficiency in their activities.
